Itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi
After your evening arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our driver guide and transferred to your city hotel for relaxation and overnight.
Accommodation: Southern Sun Mayfair Court or similar

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park [BLD]
We have breakfast at leisure, and then drive through the Great Rift Valley where we will briefly stop for an opportunity to see and photograph this great natural spectacle. Thereafter we proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en-route, arriving at our tented camp for lunch. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. In the afternoon we head out to the park for an afternoon game drive till late afternoon.
Accommodation: Flamingo Hill Camp or similar

Day 3: Lake Naivasha [BLD]
We enjoy breakfast at the camp, then head out for our morning game drive in the park until mid-day then proceed to the shores of Lake Naivasha for lunch. In the afternoon, we board a boat for a cruise to the Crescent Island National Park. We walk through the Island which offers ample easily spotted wildlife like giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras and impalas. The island is also a heaven for birds with more than 200 species recorded. The lake has a lot of hippos, which you can easily view from the island.
Accommodation
: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve [BLD]
We make our way to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We arrive at our accommodation in time for lunch and will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. The one main aspect that makes the Maasai Mara so well-known is that it is joined to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and therefore allows the free movement of wildebeest during the Great Migration.
Accommodation:
Mara Eden Luxury Camp or similar

Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara National Reserve [BLD, BLD]
The next two days are spent on morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The Maasai Mara was named after the Maasai, a tribe of nomadic traditional herders, who live within this protected park. This area is home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelle, impala and elephant. Hippopotamus and crocodile are plentiful in the rivers here, and the bird life is also abundant. On one of the days, you will have an opportunity to view wildlife from a different perspective through a nature walk. We leave our vehicles behind and head out for a morning walking safari in one of the private concessions adjacent to the Maasai Mara. This gives you an opportunity to learn animal tracking and obtain a closer interaction with the wildlife.
Accommodation:
Mara Eden Luxury Camp or similar

Day 7: Nairobi [BL]
We head out for a last game drive into the Masai Mara before we transfer back to Nairobi in time to catch your onward flight.

Travelling Times and Distances
All travelling times are affected by road conditions, border crossings, detours and weather conditions, therefore on certain days travelling times may be longer than anticipated especially where there is a lot of distance to be covered. Please keep in mind that the time it takes to travel 100 km in your home country is not equivalent to the time it takes to travel 100 km on African roads, therefore we encourage you to sit back and enjoy the spectacular scenery Africa has to offer. Where possible additional stops will be made to ensure your travelling comfort at all times.

Accommodation
For our accommodated safaris, we make use of typical, mid-range African standard lodge accommodation. Preventative Malaria medication should be taken before the trip and throughout its duration and it is advisable to consult a doctor prior to departure.
