On our Tanzania Wildlife Breakaway safari we will take you to Tanzania’s best national parks guaranteeing you the wildlife sightings that East Africa is so famous for... During your safari you will stay in comfortable East African accommodation every night which, after a long day of exciting wildlife viewing, will be a welcome comfort and a great way of experiencing the hospitality that East Africa and especially Tanzania is so well known for.

Day 1: Arusha, Tanzania [D] You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your lodge in the forests outside Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will have an opportunity to explore the lodge grounds, go for a dip in the swimming pool or partake in any of the offered additional activities available. Accommodation: Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge or similar Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park - Manyara [BLD] Our tour sets off after breakfast, with the first stop being the town of Arusha for some last minute purchases, before we head off on an exciting safari experience… We will travel towards the Tarangire National Park, where we stop for lunch and afterwards, our first game drive of the safari! Tarangire National Park is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of the annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephant, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebra. Accommodation: Rift Valley Photographic Lodge or similar
Day 3: Manyara National Park, Tanzania [BLD] We head towards Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive. The spectacular national park is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a hallow soda lake, which lies at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Manyara NP is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree climbing lions. Accommodation: Rift Valley Photographic Lodge or similar
Day 4: Manyara - Serengeti National Park, Tanzania [BLD] After breakfast we drive up the Rift Valley escarpment towards the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. A spectacular drive up the crater wall leads us to the magnificent wildlife sanctuary, where we spend several hours exploring the floor of the crater. After lunch we depart from the crater and head for the Serengeti National Park, game driving along the way. Accommodation: Kati Kati Tented Camp or similar
Day 5: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania [BLD] An early start sees us heading out after breakfast for a game drive in the magnificent Serengeti National Park. With a picnic lunch provided, we will go ahead with game drives throughout the afternoon in the endless plains spotting many animals and truly realizing just why this National Park is so famous. In the late afternoon we drive back to the lodge for an overnight. Accommodation: Kati Kati Tented Camp or similar
Day 6: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara [BLD] Today we retrace our steps with a morning game drive through the Serengeti followed by Picnic Lunch, before we continue our game drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En-route we visit Olduvai Gorge museum. Accommodation: Rift Valley Photographic Lodge or similar
Day 7: Lake Manyara - Arusha [BL] After breakfast we explore the colourful town of Mto-wa-Mbu for some last minute pictures and curio shopping. Afterwards we head to Arusha where the tour will end at our offices. We hope to welcome you again on one of our African adventures!

Pre and Post Tour Arrangements: Pre and post tour accommodation and transfers can be arranged on request.
Spending money: Clients are advised to bring enough money to cover the purchase of curios, tips for the guide and additional entertainment. US Dollars and Tanzanian Shilling are the most practical and convenient currencies.
Meals: Breakfast is enjoyed in the restaurant at the various accommodations while lunch and dinner will be prepared by your guide, either around a campfire in the evening or at a picnic site for lunch. All clients booked on our Camping Safari or Accommodated Safari will enjoy the same wholesome meals. Please advise us of any special dietary requirements in advance.
First Aid: Our guides are trained in basic first aid and the vehicle is equipped with a medical aid kit. Preventative Malaria medication should be taken before the trip and throughout its duration and it is advisable to consult a doctor prior to departure. Yellow Fever vaccinations are compulsory – please contact your Travel Clinic before departure.
Luggage: Maximum baggage allowance: 12 kg. Jenman Safaris stipulates this luggage allowance, as an overloaded vehicle is a danger to both the clients and the guide. This does not include photographic equipment and a small daypack. Please bring soft-sided luggage (e.g a backpack or soft barrel bag), not a suitcase. Don't bring too much clothing, as there are washing opportunities along the way. Please adhere to the allowance specified as space for luggage is limited.
Insurance: It is compulsory for all travelers to have insurance covering their personal requirements, medical expenses and personal possessions. This is to be arranged before leaving your home country. SA Tours and Safaris has comprehensive public liability insurance, please enquire with our consultants for further information.

Visas: The onus is on the client to organize all visas required to visit Tanzania, prior to departure.
